Best Annuity Lead Companies: A Buyer's Checklist

There's no single "best" annuity lead company for every agent — but there is a clear set of questions that separates a program that makes you money from one that drains your budget. Before you buy, run any provider (including us) through this checklist.

1. Are the leads exclusive?

Shared leads mean you're racing other agents to the same prospect. Ask plainly: "Is this lead sold to anyone else?" Exclusive leads cost more and close better. If a price looks too cheap, it's almost always shared or aged.

2. How are the leads generated?

You want real opt-ins — people who raised their hand for indexed-annuity information — not scraped lists or recycled data. Ask how and where the leads come from, and whether the person actually consented to be contacted.

3. Is there a nurture system, or just a list?

A name and number is the start, not the finish. The best programs introduce the prospect to you by name and keep them warm with education, follow-up emails and texts, and helpful resources until you connect. Nurture is what lifts your contact and appointment rates.

4. Who actually runs the company?

Is it a marketing company that's never written a policy, or an agency run by someone who sells these products? A provider who closes the same leads understands what a good prospect looks like — and can actually help you work them.

5. What's the replacement / quality policy?

No one can guarantee a prospect will answer or buy. But a credible provider will replace leads with bad or undeliverable contact information within a reasonable window. Get that policy in writing.

6. Do you get a CRM and delivery you can use?

Leads should flow into a dashboard where you can work and track them, not land in a messy spreadsheet. Ask how leads are delivered and whether tools are included.

7. Is the pricing honest and contract-free?

Look for clear, published pricing and no long lock-in. You should be able to buy a package, see exactly what you pay, and stop anytime without penalties.

8. Can they show real results?

Ask for real agent feedback and examples. Be wary of inflated guarantees — honest providers talk about ranges and effort, not "guaranteed" sales.
